St Joes Challenges Easter message from Mr Briggs

Dear Children, Parents and Carers,

I hope you are all safe and well. It is very strange writing to you today as I would normally be wishing you a lovely and relaxing holiday and saying what a busy week we have had. We all hope and pray that we return to normal as soon as possible.

As it is the Easter break, your teachers have not set you any specific work but they have uploaded some activities you might want to try on dB Primary. In the videos sent on school ping and uploaded on our twitter page, I have also set you some challenges that you might want to take part in. If you do want to take part, I have created an email account (stjoeschallenges@stjosephs.harrow.sch.uk) for you to send your responses to.

I hope you get a chance over the coming weeks to sit together to take hope and inspiration from the true meaning of Easter - Jesus resurrection and our salvation.

Finally, I would like to leave you with this message that has been attributed to Pope Francis: Tonight before falling asleep think about when we will return to the street. When we hug again, when all the shopping together will seem like a party. Let's think about when the coffees will return to the bar, the small talk, the photos close to each other. We think about when it will be all a memory but normality will seem an unexpected and beautiful gift. We will love everything that has so far seemed futile to us. Every second will be precious. Swims at the sea, the sun until late, sunsets, toasts, laughter. We will go back to laughing together. Strength and courage.’

God bless, Mr. Briggs
