CARITAS Ambassadors

Year 5 have been studying Catholic Social Teaching through the Caritas Ambassadors Programme. They have planned their project under the dignity for the poor theme and are now organising a food bank for our school / local community.

They were awarded their Caritas Ambassadors badges by Sister Silvana. We were fortunate enough for her to lead a KS2 assembly highlighting the key areas of Catholic Social Teaching and we were delighted to welcome Nigel the Penguin too.

Sister Silvana will be visiting our school again soon to give the Caritas Ambassadors their certificates for completing their project.

The chaplaincy team visited St George's School to tell the CEO and Governors of the Blessed Holy Family Academy Trust about Catholic Social Teaching at St Joseph's. They were very impressed with the way the team were able to answer the questions and how they articulated how projects will continue in the future.
