Staff Rainbow Video
24th Apr 2020
Dear Parents/Carers and Children,
I hope you are all safe and well. I'm sure, like many of you, I was out last night applauding our amazing key workers, recognising the incredible work they are doing in our hospitals, care homes and other frontline services during these incredibly challenging times.
As we come to the end of the fifth week of lockdown, with no indication of when schools will reopen, I want to pass on to you my thanks and the thanks of all the staff for the amazing job you are doing in engaging with the home learning and sharing examples of the children’s work with us. The longer this goes on, the harder it is for the children who will be missing school, their friends and their teachers and the novelty of the situation will be wearing off. Please keep up the great work and I look forward to the time when we are all back together as a school community. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me or your child's teacher.
Thank you to everybody who sent in videos of themselves reading or doing keepie uppies, please continue to send these in but my new challenge to you is to bake, cook or prepare an edible family treat (biscuits, cake, bread, fruit salad, etc). It is my son's birthday today so we made a cake for him - I have attached a photo, although my wife might have something to say about it being MY attempt!! Once completed you can send a picture of it to our Twitter page: @stjosephsharrow or email it to the St. Joseph's challenges account: firstname.lastname@example.org
Finally, the staff have made a video for you all - I hope you enjoy it!! Please click on the video below to view it - make sure you watch right till the end.
God bless, Mr. Briggs
